The Field and Learning Visits will provide participants an experience of Kenya’s thriving fruit industry. Delegates will have the option to tour model orchards, packhouses, and fruit processing facilities located in and around Nairobi to understand the production, post-harvest handling, quality management, and value addition dynamics in Kenya. These visits will showcase how integrated and efficient operations can boost profitability, sustainability, and competitiveness across the fruit value chain. Participants will engage directly with farmers, processors, and agribusiness leaders, gaining valuable lessons on innovation, technology adoption, and market-oriented production models that can be replicated across Africa.
